This is a modern web-based companion that works alongside Julia Child's classic cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volume I. This is part of my adventures in french pastries. Picked up this book the other day, it's a very beautiful book called 'The Art Of French Baking' with lovely illustrations. I hope that this project will offer something new to Julia . The French boulangerie of Buenos Aires deserves its own category, where masterful bakers boastfully exemplify the true art of French baking. Upon returning to Vancouver, she sought a way to combine her love of both the comforting North American baking she grew up with and the delicate art of French pastry-making. The result is Beaucoup Bakery and Café. I'm just hoping the recipes are easy enough for me as I find French cooking can sometimes be tricky. I've just moved to Chicago for four months to attend L'Art du Gateau at the French Pastry School and don't have a kitchen to cook in for myself. This recipe sounds just like the one I inherited from my mother-in-law. Also, the French consider what can be called a restaurant. I plan on doing every recipe i can one by one in my free time and teach myself the art of french baking I'll be posting each time i make something. I've assembled hundreds of inspiring pictures and engaging articles written by the world-wide food blogging community about the recipes from this book.
